Bordering a beautiful greenspace at the edge of town, the clean lines of this modern landscaped contrasts beautifully with the native trees. A unique and relatively affordable option of salt and pepper granite gravel was framed in by metal edging to create a clean and inviting patio and walkway surfaces. Belgard Tandem Walls add to the modern style and one-piece concrete steps create function and beautiful access to the various rooms in the backyard. Altogether, this well-designed backyard is evidence again that sometimes less is more.

Before Photos

A plain, typical backyard of lawn and foundation plantings was begging for a makeover. The deck stairs were not centered on the back sliding door. This meant the deck railing partially blocked the view of the beautiful greenspace when viewed from the interior. By moving the stair location to line up with the back sliding door, and uninterrupted view of the backyard was gained.

The only seating space was the existing back deck. By creating destinations in the yard that work with the natural elevation changes, the beauty of the outdoors could be more fully enjoyed. It also adds additional entertaining space for parties and functions, along with a beautiful and functional seating surrounding the fire pit.
