Vision
At Blessing Landscapes, we have a vision to be the best landscape company in the Portland/Vancouver Metro areas. For us, this isn’t about being the biggest or having the best looking portfolio of landscapes we design, build and maintain. Instead, it’s about the employee experience within our organization. If our employees believe they are working at the best landscape company, then we’ve succeeded at our goal.
A lot goes into making a company great, but we’ve narrowed it down to three main factors:

Education
We believe our employees value education. This is why each employee receives an average of 80 hours of education per year. This can include college-level horticulture classes, daily plant identification training and vendor-sponsored education. But, our biggest training event happens every winter when we shut down normal operations for one full week to focus solely on training and education.
Additionally, we purposefully foster and promote a culture of knowledge-sharing so our newer team members can be mentored by our senior team – who are some of the industry’s best.

Compensation
As the company prospers, we believe in sharing in the rewards. This is why we offer health insurance, 401k, paid vacations and sick-time, paid holidays, Christmas bonuses, competitive wages and opportunities for bonuses on every job. We also host a Christmas and summer party each year for both our employees and their families.

Company Culture
This is the “secret sauce” to us achieving our goal of being the best. It is best described with simple words like humility, kindness and professionalism. It’s the way we treat one another everyday, and we are purposeful about how we develop our culture. With engaging team-training, strategic hiring practices, and ongoing leadership and management training, our secret sauce has become a key ingredient to our success.
